Guys and Dolls Saint Louis Theatre reviews
hit me with your rapture
Friends told me about the show in Canandaigua when I happened to be there for the week, and I thought WOW, how different a little dance with a little rock n roll. How will this turn out? First, I'm shocked it wasn't sold out. Let me add by saying I'm not a huge fan of either one. I like very much and have seen Guys and Dolls 3 times now, and that was a first for Blondie. A very interesting combo. It's sad to me that Guys and Dolls nor Blondie can't fill up a small venue when they both go back 30 years of making music and not junk records hits and hits and more hits!?!?!?!? Fourth, get yourself a ticket and enjoy the night - some rock, some dance all on one stage. Both gave an equally great show. Guys and Dolls's powerful voice sounds just as good as it did 10 years ago. And while you're at it, get yourself a ticket to a Heart concert - now that's a mind-blowing vocals and stage performance, by two women who know how to rock and roll. Third, I've always wanted to see Blondie, and now I can say I did. It seemed to me like more people were in the house for Blondie dancing and standing, or maybe Guys and Dolls got everyone all fired up. A long time waiting to see the Blondie bombshell live. Well worth the wait. Second, Guys and Dolls and the band played hit after hit, and as the night grew darker, the people finally got on their feet and gave them what they deserved - a cheer, a sing-along, and a loud clap. Awesome. All in all, great fun for a fun night out. And don't worry what the person thinks of you sitting close by. Have fun, dance, and sing. You'll never see them again. So if you can't make up your mind, go have fun - you'll be glad you did.
